Well over 6 months ago I imported Rock Band and to be quite honest I've probably not played it quite as much as I thought I would when I was giddy about it landing. The full band package set me back just over $200 including delivery, then my work got stung for £30 of import duty (which I denied responsibility for and they ended up footing the bill..) but all in all I think it cost me £120 for a game that was $169 to buy in the shops in the US. I also had to buy a new US 360 but thanks to a series of events, that actually only cost me £50.

Anyway, I've played it with friends a handful of times, completed the Guitar tour, about 3/4 of the vocal tour (usually pissed up) and 1/2 of the drum tour (because I fucking suck at drums).. but all in all I'd say I was happy even though the game cost me £30 more than the exchange rate price, I've had it months before most other people in the UK...

Well, tomorrow is your big chance to finally get your hands on some PAL Rock Band goodness.. but not before some anal rape by the UK tax man, some corporate greed teabagging by the middle man and a final Dirty Sanchez by EA being complete cunts (no change there then..). The RRP of the game is.... wait for it....

What the mother fuck is that about?? Not only have EA made you wait 6 months, dangling their scrotal goodness in your mouth to tease and taunt you whilst they cheapen their manufacturing costs on the equipment, they've then split the box set so you have to buy the game and the equipment separately and are charging you almost twice as much as it costs in North America!

This is why I no longer support Europe at all in the games industry and wish region locking would die a horrible, horrible death. It's bad enough the cunting tax man taking a huge chunk of cash without them effectively increasing the sale price of the game after a massive delay...

..I thought it was only Nintendo pulling this kind of bullshit still but obviously EA are still in the Axis of Evil...

My advice to anyone thinking of spending £150 of your hard earned pounds is not to bother... if you own a PS3 (sic) you have no excuse for not already owning Rock Band... its Region Free on that Monolith of Shite at least and you'll be able to pick it up, delivered to the UK for £100 at most on eGay.

If you own a 360 however, do yourself a favour and sell your crappy PAL console and get yourself an NTSC-U one and Rock Band whilst your at it. Even after Cuntsons and Excise sting you for their cut, you'll still be better of with games being half the price in the future...

How the fuck do games companies still get away with this bullshit?? £150, my fucking ring hole...
