CPanel removes the very important line RewriteEngine on line from the .HTACCESS file apparently, even if I tell it not to! If you find all the pages in your Drupal install are going back to the homepage and you're screaming 'WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU NOT WORKING!?!?!' for most of the day, just add it back in and you'll be fine!
